The Angel Problem

Problems of the Week

The imaginary story is told of a man who died and went to a little room. In the room he saw two identical doors on opposite sides.
There were also two identical angels in the room- except that one angel always lied and one angel always told the truth.

He had to go through one of the two doors to his eternal destiny. One door led to eternal bliss; the other to eternal torment.

He was only permitted to ask one angel one question to find the correct door.

What one question could he ask that would reveal the door to eternal bliss?
